The car has had just three previous owners and has the later more sought after MB engine, it’s covered 116, 000 miles, it’s HPi clear and has one of the most comprehensive service histories dating back to 1989. We have bundles of receipts, MOT’s, Tax discs and more. We have a briefcase full of the old Audi UK monthly newsletters from back in the day, we also have an abundance of period Audi magazines from that time. We purchased this car back in 2016 with the intention of carrying out a light restoration. The bottom of the two front wings were a little rusty and the front of the drivers floor pan had blown. The wings were the original steel ones so we had these repaired and also repaired the floor pan, the paint was really good BUT our paint guy recommended a full glass out paint restoration to make the car perfect, he twisted my arm and the prep/paint commenced. I have photos of all the works. Following on from the paint we addressed the mechanical’s. A full and thorough service of all fluids and filters, spark plugs, HT leads, dizzy cap, rotor arm & water pump were carried out. We also replaced all 8 CV boots as these were slightly perished. We replaced all the brake discs and pads and changed the fluid. The wheels were professionally refurbished and new centre caps purchased, the wheels were treated to 4 brand new tyres. After all those works the car was running lumpy and hunting when approaching junctions, we carried out a compression test and the results were strong. We decided to rebuild the metering head and test the injectors and give the fueling system a really good clean and makeover. This totally transformed the car and it ran and drove perfect, I couldn’t stop smiling. To protect the paint, we treated it to an array of machine polishing stages and sealed with a Ceramic Coating, the interior was also fully wet vac’d and also treated to a protection. This is the 2nd UR I’ve owned, I’ve also owned a S2 and a few B5 RS4’s, I love the Audi brand from all eras and am in two minds about selling this rare car, im lucky enough to have other vehicles and I know this just won’t get used. I think it’s time for a new home, I know this car inside out, it’s a great example and future investment. Happy to answer any questions and I’m happy to accept part exchanges.
